Settler Violence

Palestinian residents of the occupied territories are subject to violence by Israeli settlers, whose attacks have grown more frequent and more brutal after October 7 and the start of the Gaza War. These attacks are usually carried out with impunity, often with IDF soldiers refraining from intervening to protect the Palestinian victims-or even participating themselves in the violence.

ACRI works tirelessly to prevent this tide of violence, and to hold the Israeli government, the IDF, and the Israeli Civil Administration accountable to the Israeli and international laws governing the protections due to an occupied population. ACRI is committed to ensuring the rights of all citizens and residents within Israel and the occupied territories, and the organization's educational, political, and legislative expertise has been essential in raising awareness and making progress on this issue.
